Complementary feed for horses

Red is a liquid complementary feed containing vitamins and trace elements, particularly iron, cobalt, copper, and manganese. Red provides all these elements in a highly bioavailable form, easily absorbed by the body. Red is an excellent source of vitamins and trace elements, ideal for horses deficient in these nutrients.

When to use it

Red is the ideal complementary feed for all horses requiring dietary supplementation of important trace elements such as iron, copper, cobalt, zinc, and manganese. Furthermore, Red also provides important vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and folic acid to the daily diet.

Red can be helpful in rebalancing the body's physiological levels of essential trace elements, which are essential for maintaining a healthy organism. For horses with low red blood cell counts, supplementation with sources of iron, folic acid, copper, and zinc is recommended.

Red can also be recommended in cases where horses show little willpower and readiness to work.

Properties of its elements

Folic acid is a very important vitamin of the B group, also known as folate or vitamin B9. It belongs to the plant world (spinach is very rich in it) but in its natural chemical form it is poorly available to the organism (we are talking about approximately 50% bioavailability) (70). It is very difficult to satisfy the folic acid requirement of the horse with the food that makes up its ration. Today, given the enormous importance of its action in the production of red blood cells, it is preferable to always integrate folic acid into the diet of the athletic horse.

Vitamin B12, together with folic acid, is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA and plays an important role in the integrity of the nervous system, metabolism and energy production (60).

Instructions for use

Use 30-50 ml of RED daily for a recommended period of 25-30 days. Mix the product appropriately into the feed ration.
