Complementary feed for horses
Calciumphos is the ideal complementary feed for providing important sources of calcium and phosphorus to the diet of mares and foals, essential for the formation of the foal's skeleton. Calciumphos is a blend of calcium (from calcium lactate) and phosphorus (from monocalcium phosphate, the only source of water-soluble phosphorus), with added vitamin B12 and amino acids such as L-lysine and L-threonine.
When to use it
Calciumphos is the ideal complementary feed to use:
– During the mare's gestation period to provide important sources of calcium and phosphorus to her diet
– In the foal's first months to enrich its diet with calcium and phosphorus, essential for a healthy skeleton
– In the lactating mare to enrich the milk with calcium and phosphorus.
Properties of its elements
Calciumphos uses highly available calcium and phosphorus sources, such as calcium lactate and monocalcium phosphate. Additionally, supplementation with vitamin B12, vitamin E, vitamin D3, and amino acids such as threonine, methionine, and lysine ensures important nutritional elements for foals and mares.
Instructions for use
– For foals: Use 50-100 g of Calciumphos daily, appropriately mixed with the daily ration, for a minimum of 90-120 consecutive days. Calciumphos should be used after weaning the foal for a minimum of 3-4 months.
– For pregnant mares: From the 6th-7th month of pregnancy, use 100 g of Calciumphos per day, appropriately mixed with the daily ration.
– For lactating mares: Use 150 g of Calciumphos daily, appropriately mixed with the daily ration. Calciumphos must be used for a minimum of 90 consecutive days and until the foal is weaned.

(Given the specificity of each individual organism, it is always good practice to test new food products, gradually introducing them into the horse's diet to evaluate their tolerance).
