7th Raid Città della Pieve: rain, mud and adrenaline
Last weekend, the Umbrian village of Città della Pieve became the beating heart of Italian endurance riding.
Three intense days – from March 28 to 30 – started the 7th International Raid, opening the 2025 season with the first stage of the FISE circuit, the Coppa Italia and MASAF.
The weather was not good: rain fell during most of the event, making the tracks more difficult, muddy, and slippery.
But as we know, endurance is also this: resistance, adaptation and team spirit, especially when the conditions test the riders and the organization.
SATURDAY’S PROTAGONISTS: THE INTERNATIONAL CATEGORIES
Even with bad weather, the level of the competition was very high. The horse and rider pairs rode many difficult kilometers with skill, energy and good preparation. Here are the winners in the “Big” categories:
🥇 CEI3* – 160 km: Caterina Coppini on Zirmo De Pine.
🥇 CEI2* – 120 km: Pietro Villa on Gladiator Larzac. An amazing double win: after the Saturday victory, he also won the CEN B on Sunday, again using our Maja saddle. “The saddle was perfect,” he told us happily, “the horse finished both rides with a healthy back, no pain at all. And I had no pain either.”
A great feedback that shows how the Maja saddle – designed especially for endurance – can make a difference, giving comfort and stability all the way.
🥇 CEIYJ2* – 120 km: Giorgia Paganini, very young but already strong and well-prepared, took first place riding Glinkaya Cabirat. Fully equipped by Equitime and also using the Maja saddle, she rode a great race, with energy and focus.
A win built with passion and precision. We are proud to support the new generation of endurance riders on the podium.
🥇 CEI1* – 100 km: Daniel Braido on Plundiss Du Bienn.
🥇 CEIYJ1* – 100 km: Giada Neri on CM Iris Ruella.
EQUITIME AT THE EVENT: MORE THAN A SHOP, A MEETING PLACE
Equitime was also present at this stage with its Endurance Truck shop. Our space became, as always, a place to meet, talk and share.
Between one purchase and one chat, we shared real moments: post-race thoughts and laughs with muddy friends.
For us, being present means helping riders on the field, solving small problems, and talking with people who love this sport as much as we do.
Congratulations to all the stars of this stage – riders, horses, teams, and organizers.
To ride through effort, mud and rain with a smile and that strong will that only endurance can give – that is more than a result!
See you at the next race!
