Complementary feed for horses
Artiglio is a liquid complementary feed for horses based on concentrated extracts of Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens), known in scientific literature for their beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system.
When to use it
Artiglio is a liquid complementary feed ideal for owners wishing to support their horses' joint mobility. It can be a good supplement during periods of intense training, where joints and muscles are subjected to prolonged stress. Due to its properties, Artiglio is also recommended for older horses, which have difficulty maintaining fluid joint movement.
Properties of its elements
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens), is a root of an African plant in the human pharmacopoeia for its anti-inflammatory properties. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects thanks to the action that the extract has on the mechanism of prostaglandins and leukotrienes (34).
Instructions for use
Use 5 cl (= 50 ml) of Artiglio per day, corresponding to the first mark on the measuring cup. The period of use should not be less than 30 consecutive days. It is recommended to use on a full stomach. If necessary, the quantity can be increased to 10-15 cl per day (equivalent to the second mark on the measuring cup or 100-150 ml).
WARNING: the product is included in the FEI regulations' list of “positive doping” substances, for this reason the use of Artiglio must be suspended at least 72 hours before competitions.
(Given the specificity of each individual organism, it is always good practice to test new food products, gradually introducing them into the horse's diet to evaluate their tolerance).
