Complementary feed for horses
Gastrok is a complementary feed in syringe form based on charcoal and licorice extracts. Gastrok can be useful in managing horses during transport, where the animal's stomach must be protected. Gastrok can also support the horse's stomach health.
When to use it
Gastrok can be useful:
– For the well-being of the physiological conditions of the stomach
– In case of abdominal gas
– In cases where the horse has no appetite
– Before a transport, to keep the stomach busy digesting a licorice-based gel
– In cases where the horse has matt and bristly hair
– In cases where the horse is fed a diet based on foods rich in starches
Properties of its elements
Activated charcoal has long been used to reduce intestinal gas and related problems (49). Liquorice extract, already known in the pharmacopoeia of ancient Greece for its health-promoting qualities, is recognized in phytotherapeutic literature as having positive effects on gastric disorders (50,51).
Instructions for use
Use one syringe of Gastrok per day for 12-15 consecutive days.
Before a long trip, use one syringe of Gastrok per day for the 5 days prior to departure.
Before traveling, use one Gastrok syringe 2 hours before departure.

(Given the specificity of each individual organism, it is always good practice to test new food products, gradually introducing them into the horse's diet to evaluate their tolerance).
