Tri-tec 14 is an effective insect repellent for horses. The composition of Tritec 14 for horses combines the immediate action of natural pyrethrins with the more prolonged action of pyrethroids. For example, Cypermethrin alters the permeability of the membrane of nerve cells causing paralysis to the insect, while Pyrethrins have an immediate antiparasitic effect upon direct contact with parasites. Tri-tec 14 is also a totally harmless insect repellent for horses, in fact it creates a sun filter guaranteeing even more protection. The only thing to avoid is spraying Tritec 14 for horses on the head, in particular in the direction of the eyes, nose, mouth, where it is recommended to use a roll-on instead.
