Brass Clincher Breastplate

The breastplate is useful for preventing the saddle from sliding backwards; it is secured by steel snap hooks attached directly to the saddle cams. The martingale attachment limits the upward movement of the head by acting on the mouth, through the reins .

reins that fit through the martingale attachment must be used with olives (code VA00100), rubber or leather stops slipped onto the reins between the bit and the martingale attachment ring. If olives are not used, the running martingale can slip forward and get caught in the bit ring, blocking the horse's head and risking a fall.

The various buckles with numerous holes and hooks make the fastening and adjustment perfect for every type of horse.

It is decorated with brass clinchers.
