The Acavallo Hexagonal Air Release Gel Compensator with holes is composed of a solid hexagonal cell structure that allows air to circulate over the horse's back, providing both anti-slip and shock-absorbing properties. The holes, arranged in each hexagonal cell of the compensator, allow air to be compressed within the cells and simultaneously expelled as the horse moves, preventing heat buildup under the saddle . This flow also creates an air cushion under the saddle , reducing pressure on the back muscles and providing excellent shock absorption. A major advantage is that it prevents any unwanted movement of the saddle in any direction: forward, backward, and sideways. The gel also compensates for small imperfections in the horse's back, making it suitable for even slightly more rounded backs. The central part of the compensator is thinner, allowing it to better adapt to the withers and back of the horse, thus ensuring greater space between saddle and the gel, allowing continuous air circulation.
